Cape Conference Education Department

The Cape Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, located in South Africa, is divided into three regions: Eastern Cape, Western Cape and the Northern Cape. This conference plays a vital role in the spiritual and educational development of the Seventh-day Adventist community in these regions.

School Distribution by Region:

Western Cape: The Western Cape region has a total of 6 schools, making it the most densely populated with Adventist educational institutions within the conference.

Eastern Cape: The Eastern Cape region is home to 4 Adventist schools.

High Schools: The Cape Conference operates 3 high schools within its territory. High schools typically cater to students in grades 8 through 12, providing a comprehensive education and preparing students for higher education or vocational pursuits.

Primary Schools: The majority of the schools, totaling 7, are primary schools. Primary schools typically offer education for students in the early years of their education, usually from grades 1 to 7, focusing on foundational learning and character development.

Schools within the Cape Conference aim to provide a holistic education that integrates religious principles with academic, social, and personal development. We emphasize values such as community service, compassion, and a strong moral foundation, in alignment with the teachings and values of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

In addition to academics, these schools offer extracurricular activities, including spiritual programs, sports, and community outreach, to foster well-rounded individuals who are committed to both their faith and their community.

Teacher Registration: Teachers employed by Cape Conference institutions are expected to be registered with SACE (South African Council of Educators). SACE is the professional council for educators in South Africa.
